Frequently asked questions

Q. "How can micro-current help"
A. Micro-current will speed up the circulation and not only feed and stimulate the muscle but shorten it, back to its original tone. This technique has been used in the medical profession for over 30 years, it is completely painless and totally safe.

Q. "Why isn't my skin like it used to be?"
A. As we get older our blood circulation slows down resulting in a lack of nutrients and stimulation to the muscle. The muscle begins to weaken and gravity will encourage it to drop.
Q. "Are there any other benefits?"
A. Our lymphatic drainage stimulates circulation in the lower layers of connective tissue providing increased nourishment to the epidermis. By extension, this detoxifies by activating the lymphatic system, ridding the tissue of toxic waste so reducing puffiness and fluid retention. Micro-current will leave a clearer, fresher, smoother texture to the skin.
Q. "How old or young should one be to start treatments?"
A. At the age of 25 facial muscles start to fall. The earlier one starts treatment the more effective the treatment is in keeping a lifelong youthful appearance.
Q. "Can one stop and restart maintenance treatments?"
A. Yes.
Q. "Does the treatment hurt?"
A. Absolutely not, this is a subsensory experience. It actually feels good!
Q. Who should not undergo this procedure?
A. As long as you are generally healthy and don’t have any skin diseases or infections in the area treated, there are few medical reasons why patients should not undergo this treatment. However, patients may be unsuitable for treatment if they have a pacemaker, a history of heart problems, epilepsy or problems with thrombosis. Although there is no evidence that this treatment is harmful for pregnant women, you would generally be advised to wait until after you have given birth before embarking upon a course of treatment.
